The information that follows should be considered when selecting a pressure gauge for any installation, new or replacement. If you have any questions regarding a specific application or installation, do not hesitate to give us a call.

Warning: Pressure gauges must be selected and installed so that the possibility of failure resulting in injury of damage caused by misuse or misapplication is minimized. Personnel responsible for selection and installation should read ASME B40.1 which is available from ASME, 345 47th Street, NY, NY 10017. The most important factors which must be considered in selecting the proper gauge are as follows:


Gauges used on high pressure gas, or on potentially hazardous services such as oxygen, should be carefully selected in accordance with the recommendations of ASME B40.1. Use aluminum socket gauges on air or oil only. For additional information contact the manufacturer.
